Titanium Di oxide in food: Why should it have a Limit!

Though a chemical substance, Titanium dioxide shortly noted as titania is widely used in food whether for color of brightness or to thicken the milk products. It is said that tio2 is no harm for health but it has a slight risk to be attacked by Carcinogen if it is used out of limitation. This natural mineral is also used in various vitamins. But it is a matter of tension when we found out that it has been used in different foods like skimmed milk, yogurts, chocolate, and mayonnaise. It is also known that most eaten fast foods, tomato ketchup and marshmallows contain Titanium Dioxide which is absolutely matter of concern.

Titanium Dioxide has been used in foods since a long time ago. This has been approved by WHO and the sister partners. There are various reasons behind it and it is quite impossible to overcome the all of them. It is used for the thickness and brightness of the product and also it can be got at reasonable price. The main attraction is the whiteness which is possible for the pigment but it should be used in other products not in foods. The unlimited number of gaining these foods will kill the consumers slightly and they won’t even know about it.

It cannot be called as a nutrient and 70% of the food color depends on its white pigment. The substance is insoluble and it is highly risky of diseases like Alzheimer, asthma, cancer, fertility but still it is vastly used as a chemical for the animals. Political control may take the place of a reason, because like this people are magnetized. Without knowing the fact that government are holding them back , they are trusting the wrong people, Even the world health organizations are also allowing this chemical to use in food.

By taking this oxide people are becoming magnetized and also a target on earth. Whenever it comes to blow up a radiation, the consumers will be the first one in the line to be attacked and also the animals along with them. It should be stopped as soon as possible. It kills the DNA cells, and also the animal cells. It is not soluble and it has bio accumulation food chains. The manufacturers know it very well still they are selling it to the retailers of food division and making a death hole for the consumers.

TiO2 has been remarkably used worldwide and people are using it in foods because they can save more money and the items can look tastier than others and so they can sell it. Though it has been approved by the authority of WHO, still it should have a limit because it kills the body slowly. it may have no symptoms and people won’t understand that’s but it is high time to take a step to stop it from using in a massive  quantity in the foods which we eat every day.

Want to be a Manufacturer: Why not in Titanium dioxide!

The massive need of titanium dioxide made it proved that if anyone wants to be a manufacturer he or she can do it and can become a successful manufacturer of TiO2 if they know certain rules. As economists say that manufacturing is one of the money making sector for anyone among the other sectors. It is widely used in every sector like food, painting, sunscreens, body lotions and many more. Because of this usage, Tio2 is a dire need for all. And that is why manufacturing TiO2 would turn into a successful business.
There are certain rules behind being a successful manufacturer. You should have a complete knowledge about it. Like you have to know the substance very well, you have to know the history, the benefits and the side effects. So that, in any emergency you can use your knowledge to get rid of it. As titania is knows as a transition substance, it can be said that you have every possibilities to tie a knot with this product. A full strategy and funding is important to start a business. You have known that when you get an order, you must have the access to manufacture it. You must have your buckets full of your raw materials so that you can complete your order before the customers get tired.
You have to have a good connection with the suppliers who will supply you the materials. You have to collect all your raw materials before you start for any order. There is a certain quantity of the products which people need during their works either in laboratories or in any companies. You should have a good connection with the customers. Capability of treating everyone in a mannered way is the dire quality that a manufacture should have. You should have all the facilities for your workers so that they can work safe. TiO2 is a silent killer. It won’t hit directly but will kill the person silently by damaging the organs if they don’t use gloves. You have to keep an eye on it.
Sometimes it is hard to isolate TiO2 and it becomes rare and costly. Your good relation with the co workers will make it easier for you. The demand is very high and you have to pull the hammer when it is needed. Titanium is manufactured by using the Kroll process and some manufacturer only use the sponge to manufacture it. You have to every possible to ways to manufacture it and if you want to expand your business, think strategically to alloy the material with other ones. Your determination will set you in the market and if you want you can also become part of the manufacturing company and work for them. Your proper knowledge on Tio2 and its usage will help in the path. If you are tough and understand tic tacks of the business, then no one can stop you from being a successful manufacturer.

Titanium oxide and its usage

When it comes to usage of titanium dioxide, the first thing that should be said about this natural mineral is that it is considered to be the most popular natural whitener, which is why it can be found as an ingredient in various products such as:
·         Sunscreens
·         Creams
·         Tooth paste
·         Paint
·         Paper
·         Food
·         Medications
Because of its bright white color, it is used very often to increase the color of some products, and when it comes to food, it improving the color in milk or candies, for example. Moreover, it is used as the food ensnarer in foods such as dried vegetables, beer and wine, mustard and soups. It is present as the food additive too.

Speaking of the titanium dioxide uses, there are many different fields in which this natural whitener is very popular. People do not usually know that titanium oxide is used as a paint, because of its very strong white color. It has a widespread range of applications such as:
·         Food coloring (it is used to give the food that extra-white look, for example, milk, or candies)
·         It is used in cosmetic products (sunscreens, creams, make-up, tooth paste, etc.),
·         Titanium dioxide is an excellent protective cover coat for various things, such as cars, buses, boats, airplanes
·         It can be found in different building and construction materials.
·         For more than fifty years, titanium dioxide manufacturing is very important, because titanium dioxide is used in pharmaceutics, paper, and food, however, most importantly, it protects the skin from the sun rays, and for all those years it was also used in the cosmetic products, children’s sunscreens, and sunscreens for adults. The place where titanium dioxide is most needed, definitely is the skin. It offers the most amazing protection from the UV rays. One of the reasons why this ingredient is such a powerful and popular one is because of its non-toxic nature.
·
·                        Protect your child from the harmful UV radiation
·
As you already know, skin protection is highly important, and you saw and read all the benefits of titanium dioxide. . The fact about titanium dioxide uses that many people didn’t know is that this mineral reflects the light away from your skin, and that is how its protects your skin from the very damaging and dangerous UV rays. When you apply the sunscreen on your skin, or skin of your child, you are preventing sunburns, various conditions of the skin, and premature aging that can cause the wrinkles and the dry skin as a result.

·         Moreover, titanium dioxide is present in the food too. It may be used as a pigment in order to improve the color of certain foods, and it can be found in different candy products or milk (to make the look of it even whiter).

Titanium dioxide manufacturing and its effects

Titanium dioxide manufacturers prepare this multi-useful substance for different purposes. For example, titanium dioxide is highly-covering light pigment that is used as covering pigment in paints based on latex and solvents. Titanium dioxide is manufactured substance. It is the substance that makes toothpaste white and paint non-transparent. Besides, titanium dioxide manufacturing enables this multi-purpose substance to dissolve almost every organic substance when exposed to sun or other source of light.
In order to prevent this harmful effect, besides minimization, majority of manufactures in titanium dioxide manufacturing additionally coats nano particles of titanium dioxide. Intention is clear: to insert artificially produced protective barrier between titanium dioxide and skin cells. Very thin layer of organic or other mineral ingredient will prevent their contact and disable release of free radicals into skin (that would happen due to ultraviolet radiation on titanium dioxide).
Coating also improves physical and chemical features of nano particles, because it decreases risk of creation of clusters in protective substance formulation. Coating of nano particles of titanium dioxide can be organic (such as silicones) or non-organic (such as aluminum hydroxide).
When titaniumdioxide is used as food coloring, it is marked as E171. It's primary use is though in paint production, as plastic and ceramic starch, in glass production as UV light protection, but titanium dioxide uses are variable:
·         cosmetic products: sunblock creams
·         personal hygiene products: toothpaste
·         pharmaceutical products: caps, tablets, vitamins
·         food for humans and for animals

Titanium dioxide is used as nano material and this used has increased its manufacturing several times in just the last few years. Consequently, this exposes us to this substance through its emission into our environment. Nano materials are materials whose structural components are in size range of 1-100 nm.
Different experimental approach provided numerous data that enables comparing two samples, and presenting "topographic" structure of skin in high resolution.
Adhesive tape samples, both human and pig skin, as well as skin samples examined under TEM, showed that micronized titanium dioxide was deposited only on the outer layer of skin and that it doesn't penetrate to deeper skin layers -when it is applied directly on the skin, as cosmetic product.
Skin creams with mineral filter are recommended for children over 2 years of age, because their sensitive skin shouldn’t get in contact with chemicals from regular creams.
Titanium dioxide uses are present in household paints, oils, cosmetics, rubber, plastics, textile, paper, pills, ink, and skimmed milk. Titanium dioxide manufacturing that creates nano particles creates certain dilemmas for its oxidative effect. These nano particles of titanium dioxide have use in car industry (anti-fogging products) because tiny nano particles are transparent and don't allow water to collect on surface.
Titanium dioxide uses make for 70% of total pigment production in the world. Titanium dioxide gives whiteness and transparency to products, which is the reason why it is used for production of paints, plastics, paper, printing paints, rubber, food, toothpaste. Titanium dioxide is also used in cosmetics as it is a must substance for sunblock creams because it absorbs UV rays and thus protects skin, just as zinc oxide. Manufacturers of these creams add to them titanium dioxide nano particles, considering that they use children and sensitive skin. But there is more and more info about potential health risk of this substance, as well as potential allergic reactions.

DEFINATION OF TITANIUM DIOXIDE, THE MANUFACTURERS, ECONOMICAL AND SOCIAL IMPORTANCES

Titanium dioxide known as well as Titanium (IV) oxide is a chemical compound which naturally exist with a molecular mass of TiO2 a molar mass of 79.866 g/mol. It has a white solid appearance in its color, an odorless smell. It has a density of 4.23 g/cm3, a melting point of 1843o C as well as a boiling point of 2972oC. It’s insoluble in water I that it cannot mix with water since they have different densities.

The uses of TiTania.
It is called Titanium White when is used as a pigment. Titanium dioxide is generally extracted from three components namely anatase, ilmeniteThe  as well as a substance called rutile. This chemical compound has a wide range of uses ranging from sunscreen and paint to things such as coloring of food.

The occurrence of Titania.
Brookite, rutile and anatase are the minerals that Titania exist in its natural form. In other high pressure form of Titania dioxide, we get monoclinic-baddeleyite and orthorhombic forms of the compound found in a place known as Bavaria. The main source of Titania is the ilmenite ore since is the major widespread form of the chemical compound. It is followed by Rutile which has a percentage of 98% of Titania in its ore.

Titania production.
Titanium dioxide manufacturing depends on some feedstock. The production of the chemical compound depends on the most well common production method which at most utilizes one of the mineral element known as ilmenite. Sulphuric acid is mixed together with ilmenite to this kind of reaction removes iron oxide kind of group from the ilmenite. The resulting by-product well known as Iron (II) sulphate is filtered off after it’s crystallized in order it produces titanium salt only in the solution after digestion. The Titanium dioxide uses involves the production of pigment grade of Titania. Apart from the use of the method above to produce Titania, we can also use the Becher process method to produce the compound as well as Solvothermal synthesis method which has a relevance in nanotechnology.

 Application of Titania.
The most versed places where they apply the use of Titania is in varnishes as well as in plastics, paints and papers. This includes about three quarters of the total amount of Titanium dioxide geared to consumption. We have other pigment applications printing fibers, inks, cosmetic products and some food stuff products constitutes to a quarter. The production of pure Titanium, glass ceramics and other form of glass, electric ceramics and conductors as well as chemical intermediates are some but a few other application uses of Titanium dioxide. In some places its pigment is used due to its brightness and its highness in its refractive index supposed by only other materials. When it’s deposited as a thin film, some use it to coat dielectric mirrors and gemstones. Titanium dioxide is used to mark some of the tennis courts as white lines and many more uses in our day to day applications in life.

What is titanium dioxide? An Important mineral

Titanium dioxide is one of the most important mineral found on the earth, which is used for many important things. This is a very bright and white in appearance, which makes it the first choice of many cosmetic product manufacturers. In this age plenty of individuals do not know that what is titanium dioxide, but almost of them use this mineral daily. It is sourced from three different mineral complexes, which are anatase, brookite and rutile. Its chemical formula is TiO2 and this has very wide usage. In present age food industry, cosmetic industry and plastic industry is also using titanium dioxide for producing their products.
Why it is an important mineral?
Have you ever purchased cosmetic products? If yes, then you may understand the importance of having titanium dioxide. Today’s almost cosmetic products are manufactured by using this element, because it is pure white and safe for human skin. The bright refractive property of TiO2 makes it capable of improving strength of beautifying products. One who use product prepared by using titanium dioxide, he or she surely finds glow on his face. I mean to say white pigment of TiO2 makes it capable of improving whiteness of your skin that’s why it is widely used in cosmetic products.
It is an important source of whiteness in foods:
I think every single individual in this world uses dairy products. The titanium dioxide is also used in manufacturing those products. This element is utilized for whitening dairy products like milk and its other compounds. Additionally toothpastes are also prepared by using TiO2. There are many different toothpaste brands, which sell their product in white color. Titanium dioxide is a prime mineral in those toothpastes for their whiteness. This is what makes TiO2 an important mineral for food industry also.
It offers you better protection from UV rays of sun:
Today every person feels unsafe, while he walks in sun rays. Reason is skin harming UV rays of sun. Well, this is sure that if you will not use sunscreen protection on your body, then your skin will be burnt in direct contact of sun rays. You will surely need to apply sunscreen lotion on your skin. All available sunscreen lotions are manufactured by using TiO2. If you don’t know what is titanium dioxide, then surely you are using sunscreen products without having any knowledge about them.
As I said above, titanium dioxide is rich in reflective properties. It offers you perfect protection from UV rays by reflecting them. When you apply the sunscreen lotions on your skin, the harmful rays of sun come in direct contact with TiO2 and it reflects them. Thus you get a safe protection for your skin. Today there are a lot of uses of TiO2 and product manufacturers are regularly adding this ultimate mineral in their products. If you have no knowledge that what is titanium dioxide, then you know nothing about dairy products, cosmetic products and other products, which are built by using TiO2.
